Is it possible to utilize the HOTTAP in a DIY hot tub setup?

  • Last Updated:

While the HOTTAP can indeed heat water in a hot tub, there are several important considerations to keep in mind:

  • We strongly advise against using the HOTTAP indoors; it should only be operated outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
  • The maximum temperature increase achievable is approximately 30-35°C above the incoming water temperature. This is based on using the highest gas setting and the lowest water flow setting.
  • An alternative option is to circulate the water using a pump, which is included with our Outing and Nomad Kit. To utilize this method, fill your hot tub with water, then use the pump to recirculate the water inside the tub, allowing the heated water from the HOTTAP to continuously flow back into the tub.
