For Liquids (Urine)

• Toilet: You can use toilets to dispose of liquid (urine).
• Outside: As long as it is 100m away from a water source, and be thoughtful and respectful of others when pouring a pee bottle outside (we don't want people seeing that!)
• Garden: Urine, because of its nitrogen content, is a great fertiliser for trees. When diluted, also for other plants. Dilute the urine (approx. 1:10) and fertilise other plants with it, of course not directly edible ones...

For Solids

Eco Cassette

The Eco setup is the easiest, letting you dispose of solids in any designated waste bin or composting heap —and GottaGo comes with an ingenious bag-closing system, so you won’t even have to see the contents of the bag as you tie it off and dispose of it.

Bagging

• Bin using your regular home bin - make sure to check your local regulation guidelines to see if binning human waste is allowed where you are
• Find a designated dump point near you
• Build a compost pile (use composting bags to make this easier)

Compost

Chemical Cassette

Disposal of chemical waste is usually done at designated dump points. These generally can be found at major campsites, caravan parks and some service stations. You can search for human waste dump points near you to find one. Alternatively, you can empty the chemical waste into your toilet.

To Empty:

1. Swivel out the nozzle and unscrew the cap.
2. Flick the dial switch to "VENT."
3. Carefully tip the chemical waste out.

We have recently discovered that some early shipments of GottaGos are producing a small leak in the urine compartment. We have found that the root cause in these cases is not enough compression between the top section of the toilet (where the small urine hole is) and the urine container that sits underneath. 

Temporary Fix: 

The temporary fix which will eliminate the possibility of leaking here is to simply take the seal from the solid blue cap and add it on top of the installed seal on the open blue cap. The tabs on the seal will hold both seals in place. The additional height of the second seal will ensure that there will always be good compression between the surfaces of the urine funnel and the blue urine container cap. 

Note 1: DO NOT Overtighten, just above finger tight is correct. If you overtighten this cap it will reduce the compression at the seal above. 

Note 2: This fix implies that the urine container should always be emptied before travel, as the solid blue cap will no longer be functional. 

Permanent Fix: 
Joolca will ship spare seals to all affected customers to replace the one removed from the solid blue cap. We will be sending replacement seals (or including them in your package) to all affected customers. Please expect us to reach out to you with an update by the middle of Sept at the latest.
