The HOTTAP is designed with freshwater use in mind, but you can use saltwater or brackish water. We recommend flushing the HOTTAP with freshwater after use, as saltwater/brackish water can cause a mineral buildup and leave the HOTTAP's internals susceptible to rust and corrosion.
