What’s the Issue?

We have recently discovered that some early shipments of GottaGos are producing a small leak in the urine compartment. We have found that the root cause in these cases is not enough compression between the top section of the toilet (where the small urine hole is) and the urine container that sits underneath. 

Temporary Fix

The temporary fix which will eliminate the possibility of leaking is to take the seal from the solid blue cap and add it on top of the installed seal on the open blue cap. The tabs on the seal will hold both seals in place. The additional height of the second seal will ensure that there will always be good compression between the surfaces of the urine funnel and the blue urine container cap.

• DO NOT Overtighten, just above finger tight is correct. If you overtighten this cap it will reduce the compression at the seal above.
• This fix implies that the urine container should always be emptied before travel, as the solid blue cap will no longer be functional. 

Note: Make sure to reach out to customer support so that they can send you the new replacement urine cap & foam seals.

The Permenant Solution

To fix this, we’re providing two replacement parts designed to close this gap and eliminate the leak. These should be available in early March! If you're having this issue, reach out to support and they'll organise an order for the replacements for you.

• Thicker Foam O-Ring Seal: This sits around the urine hole (as pictured). This new seal is thicker, making for better compression between the urine hole and the urine container.
• Higher Urine Cap: This cap adds more height for a more snug fit with the new seal

How to Install Your Replacement Parts

New Urine Cap

1. Unscrew the old urine cap.
2. Screw on the new one. Done!

Installing the Foam O-Ring Seal

1. Remove the existing urine O-ring seal from around the urine hole at the top of the toilet
2. Get the new foam O-ring seal (one side will have clear tape with adhesive on it), and peel the clear tape to expose the adhesive
3. Position the foam O-ring around the urine hole
4. Press and hold the foam O-ring firmly in place for 60 seconds to allow the adhesive to cure properly.
